Developing myself as a volunteer board member at FOS Open Scouting vzw. Creating products for youth leaders, opening up the association to youth with disabilities and originating from minority groups, moving FOS Open Scouting forward.
I enhance our EV charging software platform through requirement analysis, system design, and great team work. I troubleshoot problems and find innovative solutions. I stay on top of industry trends to deliver high-quality charging solutions in this fast paced market.
Every day I have conversations with our customers and offer solutions based on their needs. With the team, I analyse any problems and estimate offered solutions. On ongoing projects I manage scope, budget and planning. My main customers are in the mobility and energy sectors, with budgets around 400K - 600K / year.
I receive the requirements from the customers and translate them into user stories so they can be implemented. I create estimates on these stories and use these estimates with the given priority to fill in the development sprints. I mainly worked for a customer in the HR sector, with a budget around 350K.
I created and maintain a QA policy including pre and post release checklists. I collect the lessons learned after each project and update the policy accordingly.
Most of the projects where based on Pimcore and Magento2, but I also created custom projects with Zend Framework (I & II) and Symfony. I created estimates for new projects, helped the project manager with the planning and coached other developers.
As a developer I got assigned to multiple online projects. These where legacy websites written in a company specific CMS based on Zend Framework I. The new projects were developed in Pimcore.
I tested a custom developed webbased application that manages memberships, event subscriptions and members insurance. I also created the ICT policy which is still in effect today. To make sure the policy would be kept in place I created a working group consisting of volunteers interested in the subject.
Courses: research methodologies, project development, project management, information management, quality assurance.
Including an internship in webdevelopment at Netlash where I worked as a PHP webdeveloper on several projects based on Fork CMS.
FOS Open Scouting is a pluralistic, internationally oriented, coeducational, scout and guide organisation active in Flanders and Brussels. As a member of the board, I'm mainly focused on ICT and transforming the organisation structure to be more project driven.
We try to open up the association for youth originating from ethnic and other minority groups, as well as to encourage guiding and scouting for youth with disabilities. I represented the organisation at multiple international diversity networks.
I created this working group after working for the organisation as a staff member ICT. With this team we maintain the ICT policy. As a recent project we migrated our physical server infrastructure to the cloud using SharePoint.
This team develops products for youth leaders in order to help them create first-class activities. Till 2015 I managed the different teams and enabled them in creating the best products possible.
